Michael Weiss D.V.M.
Dr. Michael Weiss is a 1988 graduate of the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University and studied Animal Nutrition at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Weiss has extensive experience in emergency medicine & surgery, soft tissue & orthopedic surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy. His experience extends beyond dogs and cats to all exotic pets.
Dr. Weiss has over 20 years’ experience in the area of exotic pet medicine and surgery. He has been an exotic pet medicine & surgery guest lecturer at several major veterinary continuing education conferences both nationally and internationally. Currently, he is also part of the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital’s Exotic Companion Animal Emergency Services staff.
Dr. Weiss has been featured in People Magazine and Woman’s Day and was selected as one of the Delaware Valley’s “23 Great Vets” by Philadelphia Magazine. He has also been featured on Animal Planet, Extra and American Journal TV shows, as well as Good Day Philadelphia.
His memberships include the American Veterinary Medical Association, Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians and Association of Reptilian & Amphibian Veterinarians.
Dr. Weiss is currently a resident of Mullica Hill, New Jersey and has two daughters. Lauren, who studied veterinary medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine, will become an associate veterinarian at 2nd Street Animal Hospital this fall. Morgan is a graduate of Salisbury University where she studied Community Health.
Dr. Weiss’ interests include triathlon training and racing, vegan lifestyle, boating, open water scuba diving, and travel. He has two Australian Shepherds, a cat, and several parrots.
Lauren Scavola, DVM
Dr. Lauren Scavola, previously Dr. Robinson-Weiss, graduated from Ross University in 2018. She spent a year in Missouri doing her clinical rotations prior to starting to practice at All Creatures in October 2018.
Dr. Scavola is married to her husband Anthony Scavola, and they have a happy 1-year-old named Veda Kay. They reside in Upper Pittsgrove Twp where they love being surrounded by farmland.
Dr. Scavola’s passions are surgery and exotics. Her favorite animals are snakes and birds, the bigger the better! At home she has a pied ball python named Clementine, a bearded dragon named Kathy, a cat named George, and 3 dogs; Smoky (Great Dane), Kay (Coconut Retriever from St Kitts), and Luna (Rottweiler).
Dr. Scavola loves to travel and can’t wait to travel both in and out of the country with her family. She is excited to see all of the amazing animals that are native to different parts of the world.
Candice Bittner BVetMed, MRCVS
Dr. Bittner is a 2018 graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. Prior to veterinary school, she attended the Pennsylvania State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Poultry and Avian Sciences. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, cardiology, and behavior. Candice resides in Philadelphia with her golden retriever Rua and plans on adding a cat in the near future.
